THE HITVADA - TUESDAY - NOVEMBER 18, 1997:


Indo-German Association. Formed in city
The Indo-German Association has been formed at a meeting at the residence of 
Dr. Johanna Wernicke-Rothmayer in the city. The objectives of the association are 
to promote German Language, literature and culture by organising talks, lectures 
and film shows to collaborate with organisations of similar aims and to contribute 
and promote better understanding between India and Germany and cultural exchange. 

A managing committee has been constituted with Prof. R. R. Deo as President, 
Anjali Pande as Vice-President, N. R. Pattarkine Secretary and Dinesh Chhabra as 
Public Relations Officer. 
Mr. D. Granow, Council  General in the German Consulate Mumbai during his recent
visit to the city praised the formation of the association and promised to provide his full
co-operation to the association.
